The BMW Masters presents a very strong field for this event staged in Shanghai, China. The course is a long 7600 yard par 72 that clearly favours longer hitters, although the fairways have been narrowed a little since last year. The defending champion is Peter Hanson. Henrik Stenson is the early favourite.
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Jamie Donaldson | 2pt each way 35-1 | Bet365 |
Finishing position: T34 Back Jamie Donaldson Again |
Jamie is building some momentum again and is starting to look like a winner again. The course looks like it should suit and his T6 in Portugal was a good indicator that he’s getting back to his best form. He had a solid enough T16 here last year and looks a sound each way prospect. | |||
Peter Uihlein | 2pt each way 35-1 | Bet365 |
Returned 7.83pts for T5 place finish!
Back Peter Uihlein Again |
Peter has had a great season with a fine win in the Madeira Island Open and a great 60 when coming 2nd in the Alfred Dunhill Links. In fact, he’s had two runner-up finishes in his last three starts. He’s a long hitter who finds a lot of greens so the course should set up will. He’s a bit under the radar against the big names this week but will not be afraid to win if the opportunity arisies. | |||
Brett Rumford | 2pt each way 60-1 | PaddyPower |
Finishing position: T15 Back Brett Rumford Again |
Brett is another player who has had a year to remember with back to back wins, on being in China. He understandably had a quiet spell after these victories but he’s getting back to his best form (T6-T8-T15-MC-6 in his last five starts) and should have a positive approach this week. With a bit of room off the tee he should be able to use his first-rate short game to good advantage. |
