The European Tour returns to Portugal this week after a mini break. The usual venue is the Oceanico Victoria GC which has hosted the tournament since 2007 so plenty of course form to study. It’s a 7157 yard par 71 and is quite exposed and wide open with longer hitters having a definite advantage. Wind can be a factor but it’s a relatively straightforward course and low scoring is the order of the day. Shane Lowry is the defending champion this week.

Move fast if you want to get on the veteran Spaniard at this tasty price. Jimenez is a class act and playing some great golf at the moment and there’s sure to be interest this week. He’s got steady cut making form in Portugal but it’s the three top 5s in his last five European starts that catches the eye. Despite him nearing 50 there’s no question that Miguel has a couple of wins left in the tank.
Tommy Fleetwood	2pt each way 40-1	Stan James	Finishing position: T26 Back Tommy Fleetwood Again
Tommy’s having a super year in 2013 and posted his all important first victory. He’s carried that form on with a series of good finishes including a T5 at the Alfred Dunhill Links. He’s also played in last week’s Seve Trophy and that will have done his development no harm at all. He must have a first class chance this week.
Gregory Havret	1.5pt each way 70-1	Stan James	Finishing position: T70 Back Gregory Havret Again
Gregory has always been a hot-and-cold type of player. He had one of his hot patches with a T7 and T3 in consecutive weeks and despite a missed cut last time out we feel he’s still playing well enough to contend here. He’s had a mixed bag of results but a T3 in 2011 gives reasons for optimism. We think there are enough positives for a small punt on the talented Frenchman this week.
