Le Golf National just outside Paris is this week’s venue. The course will also play host to the 2018 Ryder Cup. There is a decent field this week, attracted by the good prize money on offer. The course is a par 71 of 7300 yards and the rough has been allowed to grow longer in recent years. Water features on a number of holes. Marcel Seim is the defending Champ. Matt Kuchar and Luke Donald head the list.

Thorbjorn is steadily developing into a World Class player and he won a lot of friends with a superb T6 at The Masters. He hasn’t done much since then but had an eye catching 2nd here as a rookie in 2011. He’ll be very keen to add to his solitary Tour win and with attention focussed elsewhere we think he’s in with a shout this week.

David’s career changed forever at the 2012 US PGA when he finished 2nd to Rory McIlroy. As a result he tried his hand on the PGA Tour in 2013 and has exceeded all expectation (probably even his!). He’s had a T4 in the Honda Classic and a play-off defeat at the Wells Fargo. He’s sitting pretty at 43rd in the Fedex Cup and is a much more confident player that the one who finished T4 here last year. He’s got a solid long term record at Le Golf National and at these odds he has to be worth a small interest.

Jaidee has had a great season and currently sits 10th in the Race To Dubai. He’s had five top 10s and only missed on cut (at the US Open). His five year form of 36-31-MC-26-15 is steadily improving – and his all round play has improved in that time. We think he’s well worth a punt this week at these very generous odds.
