The Tour moves to Sweden this week and Bro Hoff Slot GC for the Nordea Masters. The course is a monster 7600 yard par 72. The interesting point is that it, rather unusually, has five par 5s. As a result it doesn’t play quite as long as the yardage would suggest. Lee Westwood is the defending champion but is not in the field this week. Previous winners on this course are Alex Noren and Richard S. Johnson. Wind can be a major factor here – especially on the island green 17th.
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Jamie Donaldson | 2pt each way 50-1 | Coral |
Finishing position: T11 Back Jamie Donaldson Again |
Jamie is a quality player in a relatively weak field. He’s made all his last three cuts at Bro Hoff Slot and he’s clearly a player growing in stature with two wins in the last twelve months. He’s had a steady year since his Abu Dhabi triumph but looks well set to capitalise on a weak field. | |||
Joachim Lagergren | 1pt each way 125-1 | Bet365 |
Finishing position: T56 Back Joachim Lagergren Again |
Joachim has struggled this season having made three cuts in his eight starts. However two of those were his most recent outings so there is hope that he might be starting to find his game. Dial in his T6 at the Nordea last season and there’s a case for a small punt at big odds. |
