This week’s tournament is the latest WGC event, continuing at Sheshan International GC in Shanghai after an absence in 2012. The layout is a 7260 yard par 72. The course favours players who can regularly find the fairways and greens. It usually takes about -20 to get the job done. Hideki Matsuyama was the 2016 champion.
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Xander Schauffele | 2pt each way 40-1 | BetFred |
Finishing position: T46 Back Xander Schauffele Again |
Xander really burst onto the scene this season with two wins, including the Tour Championship. He seems to be a star in the making and has posted some high finishes. It’s his first look at Sheshan but we’re happy to have a nibble at this early price. | |||
Daniel Berger | 2pt each way 45-1 | Bet365 |
Finishing position: T24 Back Daniel Berger Again |
We’re on the up and coming Berger again this week. He’s playing some solid stuff and another high finish looks in the offing. He’s notched T11 and T2 in his two trips to the HSBC Champions and looks primed to go well again. | |||
Matthew Fitzpatrick | 2pt each way 45-1 | BetFred |
Finishing position: T9 Back Matthew Fitzpatrick Again |
Matthew’s had another good season and posted another win. He’s got a great all round game and looks to be a major champion in the making. He’s also posted T16 and T7 at Sheshen. 45-1 looks a good early price to us. |
