The PGA Tour moves to West Virginia for the Greenbrier Classic. This event is held at the Old White TPC at White Sulphur Springs. The field usually is not especially strong and this year continues that theme with many thoughts turning to St. Andrews. Obviously, this gives some of the Tours lesser lights the chance to shine and the Old White TPC usually throws up some long priced challengers. The course is a 7274 yard par 70 which finishes with a par 3 with a strange humped green. The course is not especially tough (Appleby scared 59 in 2010). Angel Cabrera is the defending champion as it was washed out in 2016.
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |

Bubba Watson | 2pt each way 28-1 | Bet365 |
Finishing position: T70 Back Bubba Watson Again |
This is a good Bubba course. He’ll be hitting wedges into a lot of the holes and we quite like his progressive form. 30-16-13 in the last three years is trending nicely and he’s worth a punt against a weak field this week.
Jimmy Walker | 2pt each way 50-1 | Bet365 |
Finishing position: T18 Back Jimmy Walker Again |
Carl has had a quiet season up until recently but is a good par 70 player. He’s got a solid record at The Greenbrier and has posted three punter friendly finishes here. He could well pop up in the paying places against a pretty weak field.
Johnson Wagner | 2pt each way 100-1 | Sportingbet |
Finishing position: MC Back Johnson Wagner Again |
Wagner is coming back into some good form and has been putting some very decent rounds together. He was a solid T 7 at the weekend and has a good record at The Greenbrier with T11 and a very ncie T2 in 2013. Could go well again this week. |
