This week’s stop on the PGA Tour is what most people regard as the fifth Major – The Players Championship. This event features one of the strongest fields of the year and is always played at TPC Sawgrass in Florida. This is an extremely tricky course and features the famous par 3 17th hole with its island green. This combined with the treacherous 18th makes for an extremely demanding finish – many hopes have found a watery grave over the years! It’s a 7200 yard par 72 and length off the tee seems to offer no real advantage but accuracy from the fairway is a significant advantage. The Bermuda greens are very small and extremely fast. Jason Day was last year’s winner.

Henrik has been a little quiet since his superb triumph at The Open last year. Fact is, he’s still a top player who’s game is made for Sawgrass. He won here in 2009 and has had a string of other high finishes. Well worth an each way interest at this price.

Paul Casey looks to be continuing his good form. He had a good showing at Augusta a few weeks ago and Sawgrass looks a good fit. He’s had a string of high finishes and a win looks to be on the cards this season. His rock solid tee to green game is made for Sawgrass. He’s got a so-so Sawgrass record but has posted T10 and T14 and we’re banking on his good form continuing this week.

Adam’s had a quiet start to 2017 by his standards but remains a Wold Class player and a threat to any field. He’s got a game that suits Sawgrass to a tee. He’s got a great long term record here including his win back in 2004 and is hard to ignore at this price.
