The Genesis Open takes place at the usual venue of Riviera Country Club, a long standing and prestigious venue. The course is a 7279 yard par 71 with three par 5s. The holes are tight, tree-lined with small greens. Accurate hitters and good shot-makers are favoured here and the course sets up well for players who fade the ball. It is certainly a venue that doesn’t favour the ‘Bombers’ on tour. Generally speaking the more experienced players prosper here. Bubba Watson was the winner last year.

Bill is a great player and regular winner on Tour. He landed the Humana Challenge last season and looks primed for more success. We like the look of his Riviera stats. 12-1-3-23 in four starts is first class and we’re happy to overlook last year’s MC. Well worth an each way punt.

Bradley is finally coming to terms with the short putter and starting to appear near the top of leaderboards again. He’s played some decent golf over the last six months and he’s popped up with some good finishes at Riviera. He’s had a T2 and T4 in his last five starts and looks like he might pop up again.

J. B. Is a talented player whose form tends to come in lumps. He’s in the middle of a good spell right now. He’s played some solid stuff over the last couple of years. Dial in good Riviera form of five top 12s in his last eight starts and we’re happy to put him forward for recommendation this week.
