This event is played over two courses at Torrey Pines GC in California. One round is played over the shorter North Course and three over the more challenging South Course. The cream often rises to the top here. A good score on the North Course is an important factor for a good week. Jason Day is the defending champion.

Charles has had his usual consistent start to the season and looks a good each way prospect this week. He had a good run at PGA West last time out and his Torrey Pines record is really consistent. He’s amassed six top 10s here in total and was T5 in 2015. He’s going to post win No. 3 sometime!

Scott is a streaky player and when he’s hot he’s hot. If he has a favourite course then Torrey Pines is probably it. He won in 2014 and was runner up when defending. Add in a promising T8 last week at PGA West and we have an outsider with a chance .
