This week’s PGA Tour stop is TPC Summerlin, just outside Las Vegas. The course is a typical desert/resort layout with wide fairways and large, flat, receptive greens. Low scoring is the order of the day so good iron players and putters tend to gravitate to the top of the leaderboard. Normally at least -20 is needed to contend here on this 7243 yard par 71 course. Smylie Kaufman is the defending champion.
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Russell Henley | 2pt each way 66-1 | Ladbrokes |
Finishing position: T24 Back Russell Henley Again |
On his day Russell is a top player and proven winner. He’s also well established on Tour now and remains one of the game’s best putters. The putting contest that is TPC Summerlin will play into his hands having posted a promising T10 last year. | |||
Charley Hoffman | 2pt each way 80-1 | Bet365 |
Finishing position: MC Back Charley Hoffman Again |
Charley has had a really solid 2015-16 season and will be looking to continue his good play. He’s got a really solid record at The Shriners with three top six finishes in the last ten events including a T4 in 2013. He’s a player who certainly has his favourite courses and a win this week is not out of the question. | |||
Charles Howell III | 2pt each way 30-1 | Bet365 |
Finishing position: T15 Back Charles Howell III Again |
As we all know Charles is a really solid all round player who could go well this week. It’s not a strong field and he’s had four top 10s at TPC Summerlin over the years. Well worth an each way punt. |
