The European Tour moves to its climax this week for the DP World Tour Championship. The event takes place at Jumeirah Golf Estates and the course is the typical long, wide fairway course with plenty of water hazards. It’s a 7675 yard par 72 and favours the longer hitters. Rory Mcilroy won last year.
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Rafael Cabrera-Bello | 2pt each way 45-1 | BetVictor |
Finishing position: T23 Back Rafael Cabrera-Bello Again |
Rafa has had a great season and performed very well at the Ryder Cup. He’s also had some good results in the States. He’s certainly a Middle East specialist who had a near miss here a couple of years ago. We can see him going close again this week. | |||
Tyrell Hatton | 2pt each way 40-1 | BetVictor |
Returned 12pts for 2 place finish!
Back Tyrell Hatton Again |
Tyrell has been firmly in the ‘winner about to happen’ category for a while and sure enough broke his duck at the Dunhill Links. He’s not played a lot since but has a good record in desert golf and has T6 and T13 to show for his two visits here. Well worth an each way punt. | |||
Joachim Lagergren | 2pt each way 150-1 | BetVictor |
Finishing position: T40 Back Joachim Lagergren Again |
Joachim has had a great season and is really established on tour. He’s got the look of a winner about him. The wide open spaces this week will suit the big hitting Swede on course debut. He could go well in a restricted field and is worth a small each way interest. |
