This week’s tour stop is Germany for the BMW International Open. Golf Club Gut Larchenhof plays host for only the second time. Danny Willett was the winner here in 2012 and course form from that year is of particular significance. This venue also hosted the German Masters from 1998-2009. It’s a 7228 yard par 72 on flat, exposed terrain. There’s thick-ish rough waiting for those who stray from the fairly tight fairways. Pablo Larrazabal won in 2015.
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Thongchai Jaidee | 2pt each way 50-1 | SkyBet |
Finishing position: T39 Back Thongchai Jaidee Again |
Thonchai may be getting on a bit but he’s still a good competitor at this level and has rewarded our followers a number of times. He’s got a good record in this corner of Germany and has posted 8-5-11 in his last four starts here. Worth an each way punt. | |||
Peter Hanson | 2pt each way 80-1 | BetVictor |
Finishing position: T21 Back Peter Hanson Again |
Peter’s firmly on the comeback trail after a torrid series of injuries. When fit he’s a class above most here this week and he’s posted some solid results this season. He notched a T7 here last year and it’s a real possibility that he can better that this time around. | |||
Berndt Weisberger | 2pt each way 40-1 | Bet365 |
Finishing position: T7 Back Berndt Weisberger Again |
Bernd is a top quality competitor who hasn’t managed to translate his European performances onto the world stage. No matter, he can contend in this company and has a good BMW record. Not often available at this kind of price and we’re happy to have an each way punt on the long hitting Austrian. |
