The tour returns to New Delhi for the second edition of the Hero Indian Open. The course is used frequently for other tours and is a sub 7000 yard par 71. It’s a very tight, tricky set up with trees waiting for any waywardness from tee of fairway. Last year’s event was a real grind. Anirban Lahiri was the victor in a play off.
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Romain Wattel | 2pt each way 40-1 | Stan James |
Finishing position: MC Back Romain Wattel Again |
We feel Romain is in the winner about to happen category. He’s got a solid all round game and has played some solid golf of later with a T15 and T6 before last week’s missed cut. Dial in a promising T7 on his first look at Dehli GC last year and he looks a decent each way prospect this week. | |||
SSP Chawrasia | 2pt each way 40-1 | Bet365 |
Returned 104pts for 1 place finish!
Back SSP Chawrasia Again |
SSP is a short hitting guy with a great short game which sets up well this week. He knows the course inside out and was a play off loser last year. He’s had five straight top 10s here and won an Asian Tour event here in 2014. His short hitting is not penalised and we feel it sets up beautifully for another successful week. | |||
Siddikur Rahman | 2pt each way 90-1 | Stan James |
Finishing position: T58 Back Siddikur Rahman Again |
If you fancy a horse for a course this week then we have your man. Fact is, nobody has better long term form at Delhi GC than Siddikur Rahman. He knows this place inside out and was T7 last year. Add in ten straight top 10s and a win in 2013 on this course and he must be worth a small punt at this price. |
