The Tour moves to South Africa this week of the Tshwane Open. It’s again held at Pretoria GC – worth noting that prior to 2015 a different venue was used. It’s a tight, tree lined par 70 of 6830 yards and only two players were double digits under par last year. George Coetzee defends this week.
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Lee Slattery | 2pt each way 35-1 | Stan James |
Finishing position: WD Back Lee Slattery Again |
We were on Lee a couple of weeks ago and we feel he can take advantage of a field that’s this light. He’s playing some decent stuff and was T4 a fortnight ago in a far, far stronger field than this. He’s capable of winning this season and we’re happy to have a nibble this week. | |||
David Horsey | 2pt each way 33-1 | Bet365 |
Finishing position: T14 Back David Horsey Again |
David is a proven winner of some of the Tour’s lesser events and unlike most, he’s made the journey for a reason. He was a solid T10 last year and he’s making cuts and playing some decent stuff. It would not surprise us to see him pop up in the paying places come Sunday. | |||
David Drysdale | 2pt each way 80-1 | BetFred |
Finishing position: MC Back David Drysdale Again |
David is a steady player who makes a decent living and is capable of popping up with a punter-friendly finish every so often. Weakly contested co-sanctioned events such as this are exactly where this can happen. He’s been in solid cut-making form of late with a couple of decent top 25s. The course sets up well for his steady tee to green game. |
