The European Tour remains in South Africa this week for the Joburg Open. The event takes place at Royal Johannesburg & Kensington GC. It’s played over the East and shorter, easier West Courses. Home players seem to prosper but Andy Sullivan was triumphant in 2014.

Anthony Wall | 2pt each way 40-1 | BetVictor |
Returned 17pts for T3 place finish!
Back Anthony Wall Again |
We’re expecting a successful year for Anthony in 2016. Now fully fit and firing, he can easily post a high finish against this kind of field. In fact, he did just that twelve months ago when runner up on the back of a T10 in 2014. We think he’s a must bet this week at these prices.
David Drysdale | 2pt each way 50-1 | PaddyPower |
Finishing position: MC Back David Drysdale Again |
David is firmly in the journeyman category on the European Tour but is capable of the odd high finish, usually in South Africa. He has posted two T3s in this event in the past and seems in good nick at the moment. He had a good run last week before fading slightly to T27 but he’ll be more of a contender on a course he loves.
Lee Slattery | 2pt each way 40-1 | SkyBet |
Finishing position: T53 Back Lee Slattery Again |
Lee had a great 2015 posting his second Tour win and his all round play was much improved. He comes into this in high spirits having posted a number of consistent finishes over the last few years. A solid T27 will have shaken off some of the rust last week and we’re looking for a contending performance this time. |
