After the excitement of the US Open the Tour heads to Connecticut to for the Travelers Championship. As ever, the event is held at TPC River Highlands. The course is very short at 6841 yards and consistently ranks as the easiest par 70 of the year. Making birdies is the name of the game here and -15 to -18 should be needed for victory.
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Brendan Steele | 2pt each way 50-1 | Stan James TOP SIX |
Finishing position: T17 Back Brendan Steele Again |
Could Brendan add to his solitary Tour win this week? He’s always been a tad inconsistent but certainly thrives at River Highlands. He’s having a solid year at 54th in the Fedex Cup and has posted some good finishes, most recently a T5 at the Barracuda Championship. He’s posted four top 25s in his last five starts here and if he’s going to win in 2016 it will probably be here. | |||
Charley Hoffman | 2pt each way 60-1 | Stan James TOP SIX |
Finishing position: T25 Back Charley Hoffman Again |
Charley is having another great year and rewarded us with an outright win in San Antonio a few months ago. He’s played solidly since and has a good record in Hartford with T2 and T7 in his last three starts here. Well worth an interest this week. | |||
Ryan Moore | 2pt each way 66-1 | Boylesports |
Finishing position: T17 Back Ryan Moore Again |
If you’re looking for a course specialist this week then look no further than Ryan Moore. He’s a solid pro and proven winner and his River Highlands record is first class. He’s got four top 10s in his last six starts here. He’s not done too much of late but we’re happy to have a punt at this price. |
