This week we find ourselves in Akron, Ohio for the WGC Bridgestone, the latest World Golf Championship event. The tournament is held on the South Course at Firestone Country Club and is a par 70 of 7400 yards. The fairways are tree lined and keeping the ball in play is a significant advantage here. The solid ball-strikers tend to prosper. Shane Lowry won last year.

Jim’s back from injury and looking in decent nick of late posting some decent finishes. He’s always at his best on par 70 set-ups. He’s got a very solid long term record at Firestone and looks a pretty good each way bet at this price.

Kevin’s having another solid season and had a very nice finish at Oakmont in the US Open. He’s another one who thrives on par 70s and his Firestone form of 63-23-15 is trending very nicely in the right direction. Worth a nibble at this price.
