The US Open moves to Oakmont for this year’s edition. It’s a 7200 yard par 70 but the course is looking very tough with narrow, hard running fairways and lightning fast greens. An over par winning score looks likely. Jordan Speith won last year’s event at a very different Chambers Bay.

Justin has been out for a month with a bad back but is fit and ready for this one. He’s been making some positive noises and we think he’s got a leading chance. Fact is, he’s one of the best grinders around and knows all about how to handle a classic US Open test.

Jason has had a great year, winning at PGA West and he’s played some consistent golf since. No doubt, his immaculate tee to green game fits the US Open well and he’s had a string of good finishes, including an eye catching T4 at Merion in 2013 which can be classed as the last true US Open course used. Good each way prospect.

Matt is a world class player and all that’s missing from his CV is a Major. He’s a good grinder and we think he’s got a good chance this week. He’s had a number of contending performances of later and looks in good nick to pop up near the top of the leaderboard this week.
