The Tour moves to Texas this week and to Fort Worth’s Colonial CC. This is one of the oldest established and traditional tournaments of the year. The course itself is a 7200 yard par 70 and certainly favours the straight hitters. The fairways are relatively narrow and tree lined, and the rough is more punishing than previous years. As ever in Texas, the wind can be a significant factor. Chris Kirk was last year’s winner.

Danny has made really solid progress after his breakthrough win and is a fast improving player. He’s got a neat and tidy game that sets up well for Colonial CC. 46-38-10 is progressive form here and his three top 20s in his last six starts is the cue for us to get onboard this week.

If you’re going to fuse together current and course form then fast-improving Kevin Chappell could be your man. He’s knocking on the door of his first victory and has posted four top 10s in his last six starts. T10 and T19 in his last two goes at Colonial is all the persuasion we need this week.

Jon has made steady progress in his first full season on tour and has posted some good finishes of late. He’s a short but very accurate hitter with a neat short game which is made for this layout. He’s coming into Colonial with some confidence and his T33 last year is another pointer to a good performance this week.
