This week’s stop on the PGA Tour is what most people regard as the fifth Major – The Players Championship. This event features one of the strongest fields of the year and is always played at TPC Sawgrass in Florida. This is an extremely tricky course and features the famous par 3 17th hole with its island green. This combined with the treacherous 18th makes for an extremely demanding finish – many hopes have found a watery grave over the years! It’s a 7200 yard par 72 and length off the tee seems to offer no real advantage but accuracy from the fairway is a significant advantage. The Bermuda greens are very small and extremely fast. Rickie Fowler was last year’s winner.

We’re going for a Sawgrass specialist in Sergio Garcia this week. He’s not often available at this price but his Players record speaks for itself. He won in 2008, hasn’t missed a cut in twelve years and is T8-T3-T2 for his last three visits. He’s in decent cut making form at the moment and should be up there once again this week.

Paul Casey is at the top of his game at the moment and looks likely to contend every time he tees it up. He’s had a string of high finishes and a win looks to be on the cards. His rock solid tee to green game is made for Sawgrass. He’s got a so-so Sawgrass record but has posted T10 and T14 and we’re banking on his good form continuing this week.
Billy Horschel	2pt each way 55-1	Bet365 ¼ odds top SIX	Finishing position: T28 Back Billy Horschel Again
After a quiet 2015 Billy is starting to play some decent stuff again. He’s got a solid tee-to-green game that sets up well for Sawgrass and has some nice, progressive form of T26-T13. He’s had some good results of late including a T4 a couple of weeks ago. We’re banking on his upward form at Sawgrass continuing this week.
