The first major of the year is here. The Masters is always played at Augusta National GC and the course is sure to present the usual challenges. It’s a 7400 yard par 72 with the usual lightning fast sloping greens. There’s a fair bit of room from the tee and the long hitters have a distinct advantage – just ask Bubba Watson who’s won two out of the last four! Jordan Speith is the defending champion.
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Matt Kuchar | 2pt each way 66-1 | PaddyPower TOP SEVEN |
Finishing position: T24 Back Matt Kuchar Again |
Matt has been banging on the door of his first major for a while. There’s reason to believe he could do it at Augusta. He’s a proven winner and he has a great long term Augusta record. T3-T8-T5 in the last four years is a very solid record and we see absolutely no reason why he won’t be in the higher echelons of the leaderboard this week. | |||
Louis Oosthuizen | 2pt each way 33-1 | PaddyPower TOP SEVEN |
Finishing position: T15 Back Louis Oosthuizen Again |
Louis is a World class player and Major Champion. He’s also get a very solid record round Augusta with his 2012 runner up finish the highlight. He’s a great driver and a good putter when on song and his recent play suggest he can be a factor this week. | |||
Marc Leishman | 2pt each way 70-1 | PaddyPower TOP SEVEN |
Finishing position: MC Back Marc Leishman Again |
Mark very nearly won the Open last year and is a very solid player. The World No. 31 has had a string of consistent results this season and posted a T5 in the wind at Torrey Pines in February. He’s also managed a T4 at Augusta two years ago and with wind forecast for the early rounds he looks like a reasonable each way prospect. |
