The WGC Cadillac is staged at the usual venue of the Blue Monster at Doral. However the course has received a comprehensive makeover since 2013 courtesy of Donald Trump. The course has been toughened and lengthened slightly, although the signature 18th is one of the few holes to remain almost completely unchanged. Things can get tricky if the wind blows. There is a very strong field with most of the big names present. Dustin Johnson won last year’s event.
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Bill Haas | 2pt each way 80-1 | Coral |
Finishing position: T49 Back Bill Haas Again |
We think this is a great price for Bill this week. He’s a quality player who can go low or grind it out when he has to. He’s been playing some decent stuff this year and looks a solid each way prospect at this price. Consecutive top 10s at Doral seals the deal for us here. | |||
Patrick Reed | 2pt each way 45-1 | Stan James |
Finishing position: T52 Back Patrick Reed Again |
We have to snap up this early price on Reed. Fact is, he can win at almost any time on almost any course. He notched a win here in 2014 and was a steady T23 in defence last year. There are no distractions this week and he could go very close once again. | |||
Graeme McDowell | 2pt each way 80-1 | Stan James |
Finishing position: T28 Back Graeme McDowell Again |
Graeme is finally getting back to the form of 2010 and, as we all know, is am proven winner. He had an impressive win at Mayakoba late last year and has carried on the good play. He had a good run last week at PGA National and another tough grinder’s test awaits. T3 and T9 in his last three Doral starts is good playing and another contending performance awaits in our opinion. |
