The Honda Classic marks the start of the Florida Swing. This event is held at the Champions Course at PGA National. It is a 7110 yard par 70 which very much favours the shot-makers who can shape the ball both ways. The rough is relatively severe. As ever in Florida, the ability to play well in the wind is very useful. Padraig Harrington was a shock.

David impressively notched his first Tour win at The Memorial last year and has really kicked on with an impressive series of results. Now an established player, we expect further success in 2016. T8-T25 in his last two visits is good playing and he’s a far more confident player now than he was for either of those efforts. Well worth an each way punt this week.

We’re happy to have a little nibble on Ryan to notch his fourth victory this week. He’s been playing the most consistent golf of his career in the last year and has a decent record at the Honda. He followed up a T2 in 2014 with a T25 last year and we can see him being up there again this week at a decent price.

Paul has been playing good golf for a while and his immaculate tee-to-green game is still in great order. We’re backing him to notch a win in 2016. Now fully fit and looking pretty relaxed on course, we can see the 38 year old Englishman going on to further success this season. He’s been T4, T12 and T3 last year in four attempts at PGA National. If the putter’s still warm he could go close again.
