The European Tour moves to Hong Kong this week for the Hong Kong Open at Fanling. It’s a short 6700 yard par 70. It has tight, tree lined fairways and the greens are small and tricky to find in regulation. The shorter, more accurate hitters will have an advantage this week. Scott Hend defends.
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Thongchai Jaidee | 2pt each way 25-1 | Bet365 |
Finishing position: T13 Back Thongchai Jaidee Again |
Thongchai rewarded us with a 55-1 winner a couple of weeks ago and is pretty much at the top of his game. He’s a must bet this week with a string of high finishes in this event. Well worth a punt at this early price. | |||
David Horsey | 2pt each way 45-1 | Stan James |
Finishing position: MC Back David Horsey Again |
We’ve had a couple of goes at David Horsey this season and he’s had a great year without rewarding our followers. He’s in Hong Kong this week because he’s got a chance. He’s managed T21-T15 in his last two starts here and he’s playing way better now than he was then. | |||
Joachim Lagergren | 1pt each way 150-1 | Stan James |
Finishing position: MC Back Joachim Lagergren Again |
Joakim has made a real breakthrough this season with three punter friendly finishes. Interestingly two are in his last three starts. Lagergren proved in India earlier this year that he can handle trick conditions so he should be okay with the fiddly Hong Kong setup. |
