We have a new event this week that revives a famous old name last used in 2009. The venue is Bad Griesbach GC which is a parkland style 7188 yard par 71. There are a number of dogleg holes and the 18th looks tough with water in play. Berndt Weisberger is the early favourite.
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Thongchai Jaidee | 2pt each way 55-1 | BetFred |
Returned 141.5pts for 1 place finish!
Back Thongchai Jaidee Again |
Thongchai has had another good season and made the President’s Cup team. He’ll be keen to impress this weak and the course seems to set up well for his solid tee-to-green game. Jaidee had quite a good record in Germany and we can see him going well this week. | |||
Fabrizio Zanotti | 2pt each way 40-1 | BetVictor |
Finishing position: T48 Back Fabrizio Zanotti Again |
After we correctly predicted Zanotti’s 80-1 breakthrough win in Germany last year things have gone a little quiet. However, he’s come back into form with T4 and T3 in successive weeks and we think if you add in the golden glow of a return to Germany he can put together another four good rounds here. | |||
Rafael Cabrera-Bello | 2pt each way 45-1 | Coral |
Finishing position: MC Back Rafael Cabrera-Bello Again |
Rafa is another player who has had success on German soil in the past and he’s picked things up after a slow start to the season. He’s had a series of good finishes, the latest a T7 a few weeks ago and the course seems to set up well with a bit of room off the tee. We think he’s worth a small each way punt this week. |
