The European Tour moves to Scandanavia this week in the Made in Denmark. The host course is Himmerland Golf & Spa Resort. The Backtee Course is being used and it was only opened in 2013 so there’s only one year’s course form to go on. It’s a 7033 yard par 71 and has an open, links feel to it. There’s water on a few holes and a fair bit of room off the tee. The course looks pretty scoreable but wind would seem to be its principal defence. It’s a pretty weak field with and Marc Warren rewarded our followers with a 33-1 win in 2015.
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Lasse Jensen | 2pt each way 125-1 | Stan James |
Finishing position: T35 Back Lasse Jensen Again |
We’re going for a home favourite first in the shape of Lasse Jensen. He’s in his rookie year on Tour and seems set to keep his card. He’s had a series of decent finishes of late with four cuts out of the last five made. He’ll see this week as a big opportunity. He poted a T7 at Himmerland last year whilst on the Challenge Tour and if he’s going to pop up and win anywhere this year it will be here. | |||
John Parry | 2pt each way 125-1 | BetVictor |
Finishing position: 10 Back John Parry Again |
John has emerged from last year’s terrible slump and is having a really solid season. He’s put together a string of decent finishes and even qualified for then made the cut in the US Open. A T16 at Crans since and he’ll fancy another good week against a poor field in Denmark. | |||
Johan Carlsson | 2pt each way 80-1 | SkyBet |
Finishing position: MC Back Johan Carlsson Again |
Johan is a talented Swedish player who retained his card in his rookie year in 2014. He’s made steady progress and sits 72nd on the RTD. He’s in good current form and looks ready to step up. He’s coming off T16 in Crans and made the cut in Denmark last year. He’s a young player on the up who could make the top 5. |
