The European Masters is once again held at the usual venue of Crans-Sur-Sierre GC high up in the Swiss Alps. It’s a short 6800 yard par 70 with plenty of trees and small, hard greens with run offs Low scoring is the order of the day here and David Lipsky triumphed last year with -18.
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Thongchai Jaidee | 2pt each way 30-1 | BetFred |
Finishing position: T50 Back Thongchai Jaidee Again |
We’re on Thongchai again this week for the usual reasons. He’s playing some of the most consistent golf of his life and has had a very good run this season. We’re convinced he’ll win soon and with form at Crans of T5 and T9 in his last four starts, we think he’s well equipped to contend this week. | |||
Romain Wattel | 2pt each way 90-1 | Coral |
Finishing position: MC Back Romain Wattel Again |
We’ve had some success backing Romain Wattel in the recent past. He’s not done a lot recently but we could not walk past this price, especially when you dial in his course form. He’s had a T2 and T9 in his three visits and must be worth a small each way punt this week to see if he can relive former glories! | |||
Marcus Fraser | 2pt each way 50-1 | BetVictor |
Finishing position: T60 Back Marcus Fraser Again |
Marcus has been going along very nicely in recent weeks. Fraser has had a good Open with T20 and a string of other decent finishes of late. He’s posted T2-T20 in his last two visits and we think he could easily pop up in the top five this week on a course that suits. |
