This week is the inaugural Shenzhen International from Genzon GC in China. The course is a fairly wide open tree-lined 7145 yard par 72 with water featuring on the last six holes. Apparently the rough is fairly light too so the big hitters will have an advantage. It’s a fairly weak field headed by Bubba Watson – must be getting some serious appearance money!
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Kiradech Aphibarnrat | 2pt each way 40-1 | Bet365 |
Returned 104pts for 1 place finish!
Back Kiradech Aphibarnrat Again |
Kiradech is coming back to something like his best form and has had some good finishes of late, including a punter friendly finish last time he teed it up in China. The wide open surroundings should be to his taste and we can see him taking advantage of a weak field where scoring should be low. | |||
Romain Wattel | 2pt each way 40-1 | BetVictor |
Finishing position: T34 Back Romain Wattel Again |
We think Romain could well win his first event this season. He’s a big hitter which sets up well for Genzon GC and should have a decent shout this week. He’s not up against a great deal of quality and has posted a T7 and T2 in his last three starts so should have as good a chance as anyone on a course few have even seen. | |||
Anthony Wall | 2pt each way 66-1 | BetVictor |
Finishing position: T11 Back Anthony Wall Again |
Anthony has had a good season now he’s back to full fitness and looks set to continue the good play this week. He’s had three top 15s in his last four starts including a runner up finish in that time. On an unfamiliar course against a weak field we can see him popping up near the top of the leaderboard again. |
