The tour moves to Morocco this week hoping for better weather than last week’s cancelled Madeira Islands Open. The venue is Golf Du Palais Royal in Agadir and it’s a relatively short 6951 par 72. Unusually, there are five par 5s and par 3s. The fairways are quite generous but accuracy into the small greens will be important this week. Proximity to the Atlantic means wind can be a factor. Alejandro Canizares was the winner in 2014.
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Andy Sullivan | 2pt each way 28-1 | Stan James |
Finishing position: MC Back Andy Sullivan Again |
Andy, as we all know, is having a stellar season with two wins already. He’s really on the crest of a wave and is a real threat whenever he tees it up. If you factor in a T17 in 2012 and runner up last year then he’sa must back at this generous early price. | |||
Tommy Fleetwood | 2pt each way 50-1 | Stan James |
Finishing position: T17 Back Tommy Fleetwood Again |
Tommy is a favourite of ours who has provided a number of place wins for our followers. We truly believe he’ll notch win No. 2 in 2015. He’s not done alot so far this season but he’s one of those players who can find form quickly. The set up in Morocco suits his neat and tidy game. He’s made two of his three cuts in Agadir with T23 in 2014. We think he’s worth a small nibble this week. | |||
Anthony Wall | 2pt each way 60-1 | Stan James |
Finishing position: T14 Back Anthony Wall Again |
Anthony seems to have finally overcome his health problems and his form is on an upward curve. Three top 12s in his last six starts is good playing, including a runner up finish last time out. He’s got a solid tee to green game which is vital in Agadir and we like the look of his course form of T19-T17 and we see no reason why he cannot go well again this week. |
