The European tour stays in South Africa this week for the Tshwane Open from Pretoria CC. The course itself is a 7000 yard par 70 featuring tight, tree lined fairways and small, undulating greens. The accurate hitters have a distinct advantage here. It’s a new venue this week so no real course form to go on. Ross Fisher won last year at Copperleaf G&CC.

---|---|---|---|
Jorge Campillo | 2pt each way 66-1 | Coral |
Finishing position: MC Back Jorge Campillo Again |
Jorge is a steadily improving player who looks like having a successful 2015. He’s made his last eight cuts with some decent finishes in that time. He’s got a neat and tidy all round game and handled the conditions at the Joburg last week really well. We see no reason why he cannot go well again this week and a top five place looks a distinct possibility. | |||
John Parry | 2pt each way 100-1 | Stan James |
Finishing position: T53 Back John Parry Again |
John had a torrid 2014 but is firmly on the comeback trail. He is really on an upward curve and that can continue this week. He’s had T11-T17 and T6 in his last four starts and his performance round the tight East London Course last week is enough to get on for the Tshwane Open. We think a small each way bet could yield a result come Sunday. | |||
Matt Ford | 2pt each way 140-1 | Bet365 |
Finishing position: MC Back Matt Ford Again |
Matt had a career defining runner up finish last week at the Joburg and we were really quite impressed. His straight driving will be a real asset this week and his form has been on an upward curve for a month or so. It will be interesting to see if his good play continues this week. At these odds we’re happy to have a small punt to find out. |
