The European Tour moves to Delhi GC this week for the first staging of the Hero Indian Open as a European Tour event. The course is a 7000 yard par 72 featuring narrow fairways and relatively small greens. The shorter hitters should have an advantage this week. The course has been used a number of times for smaller tour events but there is little genuine form to go on this week.
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Shiv Kapur | 2pt each way 30-1 | Coral |
Finishing position: 68 Back Shiv Kapur Again |
We’re happy to snap up this early price on Shiv. He knows the course as well as anyone having grown up here and will be extra keen to do well. He’ll certainly have the support of the locals. Factor in a T11 last time out and he looks well capable of contending this week. | |||
Anthony Wall | 2pt each way 50-1 | PaddyPower |
Finishing position: T35 Back Anthony Wall Again |
Anthony has the kind of solid tee to green game that should prosper round these parts. He’s got a decent record away from the Eurpoean mainland and is now fully fit after last year’s health problems. He’s had a T12 and T15 in his last four starts against stronger fields than this. Well worth a small each way punt. | |||
Lee Slattery | 2pt each way 80-1 | Coral |
Finishing position: MC Back Lee Slattery Again |
Lee is a steady performer who can pop up every now and again in the top five. He’s had a few good results of late including a T3 three starts ago. The short, thigh nature of Delhi GC should suit and we think he’s worth a small interest against a pretty weak field. |
