This week we have the climax of the Fedex Cup. The Tour Championship offers the chance of a massive $10m prize for the Fedex Cup winner. As usual only the top 30 ranked players are taking part at the usual venue, East Lake GC. As a result of the restricted field the bookies are only paying for four places and the odds are a bit on the skinny side. The course is a 7150 yard par 70 which had a redesign in 2008 so course form after that is of most significance. Accuracy is of great importance and hitting the narrow fairways will be crucial to success this week. Billy Horschel won last year but failed to make this year’s edition.
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Bill Haas | 2pt each way 70-1 | BetFred |
Finishing position: 26 Back Bill Haas Again |
We’re happy to go on Bill for a second successive week. He’s had a really consistent year with a string of high finishes and a win earlier in the year. Haas will fancy his chances on a course where he had his biggest triumph. | |||
Paul Casey | 2pt each way 50-1 | BetVictor |
Finishing position: T5 Back Paul Casey Again |
Paul’s had a great season and should have posted a victory by now. He had a good finish at the BMW last week and east Lake sets up well for his rock solid tee-to-green game. He was 4th in 2010 in his only Tour Championship outing and looks capable of a good tournament again. | |||
Charley Hoffman | 2pt each way 80-1 | Coral |
Finishing position: T22 Back Charley Hoffman Again |
Value is hard to find in a 30 man field but Charley has had a super consistent season with high finishes throughout. He comes into this one with confidence high and managed 6th in his only Tour Championship appearance in 2010. Worth a small each way stake. |
All quoted odds correct as of 15:00 on 22/09/2015. These are obviously subject to fluctuation.
