TPC Deere Run is this week’s venue for the John Deere Classic in Illinois. The course is a very easy resort-style set-up which offers no real challenge to the pros. At least -20 is needed to win and Paul Goydos shot a 59 in 2010. It measures 7268 yards and is a par 71. The 18th is a tricky par 4 with water very much in play. It’s a pretty weak field as normal but Jordan Spieth notched his first career win here in 2013 and Brian Harman defends.
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Jason Bohn | 2pt each way 70-1 | Coral |
Finishing position: T12 Back Jason Bohn Again |
Jason has been quietly having a very good season. He’s a classic tee to green player and par 70s and 71s are his absolute forte. He had a good run at the Greenbrier last week and has had high finishes at other short set ups over the last few years. He’s got a solid Deere Run record, making five of his last seven cuts and with confidence high he could be in line for another good week. | |||
Tony Finau | 2pt each way 50-1 | Coral |
Finishing position: MC Back Tony Finau Again |
Tony’s having a great rookie year and he’s strung a whole series of high finishes together. He’s going to be well suited to Deere Run where heavy scoring is key. He’s an out and out bomber and will be hitting short irons into most greens. If the putter behaves this week he should be up there. | |||
Jerry Kelly | 2pt each way 70-1 | Coral |
Finishing position: 17 Back Jerry Kelly Again |
Jerry has had something of a renaissance over the last couple of years. He’s had some good results this season but what really catches the eye is Deere Run form of T4-T3. No doubt he can capitalise on this week’s weak field and notch another high finish this year. |
