WGC Cadillac Match Play Tips

The WGC Cadillac Match Play is taking place at a new venue this week. TPC Harding Park, just outside San Francisco, is a 7115 yard par 71. The course has hosted the WGC Cadillac Championship and President’s Cup in the past. This event features the World’s top 64 players, although Clark, Mickelson and Donald are not in attendance. Jason Day was last year’s winner at Dove Mountain beating Victor Dubuisson.

Webb Simpson has steadily become a world class player of the last few years and has made decent progress over the last couple of years, becoming a regular winner. He’s also a match play exponent. He’s got a solid record at the WGC and looks to have a decent chance his week where value is in short supply.

Paul is getting back to his very best form with a string of high finishes of late. He’ll be a tough opponent this week with his immaculate tee to green game. Factor in a wealth of Ryder Cup experience and we think he’s got as good a chance as anyone in an event that looks wide open.
