The Arnold Palmer Initiation is this week’s PGA Tour stop and takes place at the regular venue of Bay Hill. This is one of the more prestigious events of the year and always has a strong field. The course is a 7400 yard par 72 which is traditionally one of the harder courses of the year. The Bermuda greens are relatively slick and the rough is going to punish errant tee shots. The long par 4 18th is a fearsome test. Matt every was the surprise winner in 2014.
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Ian Poulter | 1.5pt each way 45-1 | SkyBet |
Finishing position: T21 Back Ian Poulter Again |
Ian looks like he’s getting back to his best form and sits a solid 50th in the Fedex Cup rankings. He’s had some good results recently, particularly a T3 at the Honda Classic. We like the look of his Bay Hill form of 12-3-21-20 and we see no reasom why he cannot pop up in the paying places again on Sunday. | |||
Kevin Na | 2pt each way 45-1 | SkyBet |
Finishing position: T6 Back Kevin Na Again |
Kevin has clearly bounced back from an injury hit 2013 and looks ready to claim his second PGA Tour title soon. Over the last twelve months he’s had a string of good results and is T9-T10 for his last two outings. We’re backing his good play to continue, especially as he’s posted T11-T2-T30-T4-T14 in his last five visits to Bay Hill. We feel he’s a must beat each way this week. | |||
J. B. Holmes | 2pt each way 45-1 | Bet365 |
Finishing position: MC Back J. B. Holmes Again |
Big hitting J.B. is having a cracking season so far and looks like he could post another victory soon. He’s coming off a hot streak of form with 2-10-22-2 in his last four events . He’s also got pretty solid form at Bay Hill, making his last eight straight cuts here with a nice T10 last year. He looks set for another good week in Florida at a pretty generous price. |
