The WGC Cadillac is staged at the usual venue of the Blue Monster at Doral. However the course has received a comprehensive makeover since 2013 courtesy of Donald Trump. The course has been toughened and lengthened slightly, although the signature 18th is one of the few holes to remain almost completely unchanged. Things can get tricky if the wind blows. There is a very strong field with most of the big names present. Patrick Reed won last year’s event.
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Bill Haas | 2pt each way 60-1 | Boylesports |
Finishing position: T7 Back Bill Haas Again |
We think this is a great price for Bill this week. He’s having a successful season and has already triumphed in the Humana Challenge. What catches the201 eye is last year’s T6 on the new redesigned layout. No doubt Bill can go close again this week. | |||
Jamie Donaldson | 2pt each way 40-1 | Bet365 |
Finishing position: T44 Back Jamie Donaldson Again |
Jamie had a great year in 2014 and his role in the Ryder Cup really put him on the map. He’s had some success in his occasional forays into the US and is certainly looking to step up a level. He’ll be looking to do well again last year and could easily repeat last year’s superb runner up finish at Doral. | |||
Charl Schwartzel | 2pt each way 66-1 | Bet365 |
Finishing position: T44 Back Charl Schwartzel Again |
Charl is playing some good golf at the moment. He had a disappointing melt down to let Andy Sullivan in to0 win in South Africa last month but he’s a quality player and proven winner. He also has an excellent long term Doral record – including a nice T9 last year on the new course set-up. We think he’s a good each way bet this week. |
