The AT&T is held over three courses (Pebble Beach – wide fairways, small greens, exposed to wind; Spyglass Hill – tight, small greens, hardest of the three; Monterey Peninsula – short, big greens). Pebble hosts two of the four rounds and wind can be a factor on these exposed links. This tournament follows the usual Pro-Am format of slow play and easy pin placements. Patience and decent current/course form are key factors here. In-form Jimmy Walker is the defending champion.
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Jason Kokrak | 2pt each way 66-1 | Ladbrokes |
Finishing position: MC Back Jason Kokrak Again |
We tipped Jason last year as he seems to get on well with the Pro-Am format and course set up at the AT&T. He’s managed T9 and T19 in his last three starts. He’s playing solid enough golf and has made his last seven cuts with three top 20s in there. We can see him popping up in the paying places this week against a fairly weak field. | |||
Kevin Na | 2pt each way 50-1 | Ladbrokes |
Finishing position: MC Back Kevin Na Again |
Kevin is a steady, solid player who pops up with a punter friendly finish quite regularly. He’s already managed a T2 this season and is in steady cut-making form. He’s gone T5-T22-T4 in this event over the last three years so we’re happy to have an each way punt on his good play at Pebble Beach continuing. | |||
Shane Lowry | 2pt each way 50-1 | BetVictor |
Finishing position: T21 Back Shane Lowry Again |
Shane is, as we all know, a talented winner in Europe. He’s trying his hand in The States and it will be interesting to see how he fares. He caught our eye last week with a T7 at Torrey Pines and he’ll probably like the Pro-Am format this week. He’s a talented links player so if the wind blows he could have a leading chance. |
