This event is played over two courses at Torrey Pines GC in California. One round is played over the shorter North Course and three over the more challenging South Course. The cream often rises to the top here – Tiger Woods is the main course specialist but had an absolute nightmare last week in Phoenix. A good score on the North Course is an important factor for a good week. Scott Stallings defends but all eyes will be on Woods and the returning Dustin Johnson.

---|---|---|---|
Marc Leishman | 2pt each way 50-1 | SkyBet |
Finishing position: T27 Back Marc Leishman Again |
We think the under-rated Australian is a must back this week. He’s had two runner up finishes at Torrey Pines and another top ten in the last six years. He’s not played much this season so far but managed a 62 at Waialae in his only start thus far. We’re backing Leishman to make the paying places this week. | |||
Billy Horschel | 2pt each way 50-1 | Sportingbet |
Finishing position: MC Back Billy Horschel Again |
We think Billy has moved up a level after winning the Fedex Cup and we fully expect him to win in 2015. He’s had a steady start to his year but we think he’s going to start contending soon. He’s got progressive form at Torry Pines of T39-T23 and we see the upward curve of results here to continue. We think he’s well worth a nibble at a value price. | |||
Hunter Mahan | 2pt each way 50-1 | Sportingbet |
Finishing position: WD Back Hunter Mahan Again |
We rate Hunter Mahan highly at Bettingtips4golf and he’s a value price on a course he likes this week. He’s had a steady start to the season but we like the look of his course form. He’s managed two T6’s in his last four starts so we think these odds are worth a punt. |
