Held at TPC Scottsdale, The Phoenix Open will have the usual huge crowds and boisterous atmosphere. A 7216 yard par 71 with three par fives, the course has an exciting finish with the 16th a tough par three, the 17th a driveable par four and the very difficult par four 18th. The rough is relatively light and the greens are of a generous size. Kevin Stadler held off Bubba Watson for victory last year but will not defend owing to a fractured wrist.

Charley Hoffman | 2pt each way 50-1 | BetVictor |
Finishing position: T53 Back Charley Hoffman Again |
We think Charley is a no brainer this week. He’s playing some great golf at the moment and rewarded our followers with a T2 at the Humana. No doubt he can get the birdies to figure at a set up like TPC Scottsdale and he has managed T2 in the past. Snap up the 50-1 while it’s still on offer.
Harris English | 2pt each way 50-1 | Ladbrokes |
Finishing position: T40 Back Harris English Again |
As we all know Harry is a talented young player who is going to win many tournaments. We like the look of him this week. He’s in decent form T3-T30 and has a solid record at TPC Scottsdale with T15 and T9 in his last three starts. Simply, he’s a proven winner who’s flying under the radar at a very nice price.
Brendon De Jong | 1pt each way 100-1 | Ladbrokes |
Finishing position: T26 Back Brendon De Jong Again |
We think big Brendon is going to break his duck pretty soon. He was close at Sea Island late last year and he can easily roll in the birdies to challenge round here. He managed T6 in 2013 and we wouldn’t be surprised to see him near the top of the leaderboard again this week. |
