This is an unusual tournament in a couple of ways. It is played over three courses at (PGA West Palmer, PGA West Nicklaus and La Quinta). All are relatively short par 72s and they were all ranked in the top 10 easiest courses in 2012. A score of -28 won last year and something similar will be needed this time around. It also has a Pro-Am format which leads to slow play and can be a severe test of patience for certain types of players. Brian Patrick Reed blitzed the field in 2014.

Brendon has had a great twelve months, picking up his first win in the process. He’s got a solid all round game and seems destined for further success in the coming years. What marks him out this week is the generous odds and decent course form - a progressive T26-T6 in his only two starts. We think he’s worth a punt this week.

Charley is the kind of player who prospers on the Tour’s easier set ups. The Humana is certainly one of those. Buoyed by his success at Mayakoba in November we can see Hoffman having another good year. He’s shaken off a bit of the close season rust and these odds look pretty good to us – especially with form of T10 and T9 in his last two visits here.
Kevin Streelman	1pt each way 80-1	Bet365	Finishing position: T41 Back Kevin Streelman Again
Spotting where the streaky Kevin Streelman will pop up next can be tricky. Fact is, when he’s hot he can gobble up layouts like PGA West. He’s had an outing at Kapalua already so should be good to go here and this early price looks good to us - especially as he’s made two top 10s in his last four starts here.
