The Heritage Classic is always held at Harbour Town, South Carolina. This presents a classic test and is a tight, tree lined par 70. An ability to shape the ball both ways is a distinct advantage and the better ball strikers tend to prosper. Wind can be a big factor on this seaside course. This is certainly no ‘bombers’ course! Carl Pettersson defends – on the back of coming plum last at the Masters. He’s not in our thinking this week after a decidedly average start to the season. A score of around -12 should be enough. Brandt Snedeker heads the field – can he put his Masters disappointment behind him?

Charles is having a great season in 2013. He’s got solid, if unspectacular form at Harbour Town and possesses the kind of neat and tidy long game that prospers here. We feel a win is in the offing for Howell this season and it’s exactly this kind of test that will suit. He should have won way more than the pair of Tour victories he’s managed so far and in a less-than-intimidating field we can see him contending.
Rory Sabbatini	1pt each way 125-1	Bet365	Finishing position: T9 Back Rory Sabbatini Again
Rory is definitely a horses for course player. His big finish last season was at the Memorial where he had a solid long term record. The same applies at Harbour Town. Form of 8-14-7 is good and he’s just started to play better over the last couple of tournaments so we’re confident he can put in a contending performance here.
Tommy Gainey	1pt each way 300-1	Stan James	Finishing position: T71 Back Tommy Gainey Again
The gloriously inconsistent Mr. Gainey is, in our view, a par 70 specialist. Most of his best work is done on the shorter tracks. He’s not really got going this season but Harbour Town is as good a place as any. Gainey can hit form at any moment and without warning. A 3rd here in 2011 shows he can handle the course and we can see him getting his season started here!
