The PGA Tour moves to West Virginia for the Greenbrier Classic. This event is held at the Old White TPC at White Sulphur Springs. The field usually is not especially strong and this year continues that theme with many thoughts turning to Hoylake. Obviously, this gives some of the Tours lesser lights the chance to shine and the Old White TPC usually throws up some long priced challengers. The course is a 7274 yard par 70 which finishes with a par 3 with a strange humped green. The course is not especially tough (Appleby scared 59 in 2010). Jonas Blixt is the defending champion.

Big Brendon is playing some good golf at the moment and he always excels where birdies are needed. His form here of 3-4-52-17 is good and his form seems to be on an upward curve. He’s made his last eight cuts and the T8 at Congressional last week was a very good result. We think he’s got a very good chance of notching that long awaited maiden victory.
Carl Pettersson	2pt each way 66-1	Coral	Finishing position: T35 Back Carl Pettersson Again
Carl is another heavyweight pick this week and for good reason. His current form is excellent with a T3 and T7 in his last three starts. Even his T55 at Congressional was respectable on a course that doesn’t suit. Old White TPC does suit, however with a T18 and T17 in his four attempts. No doubt he has the game to get into contention here.

We’re fans of Chris Stroud and we don’t think win No. 1 is too far away. He’s worthy of consideration on any par 70 or 71 setup. His current form is good with T14 and T18 in his last three starts. Both were par 70s and we think he should go well again this week. He’s managed T9 and T18 here in the last four years and we’re backing him to have a strong outing on another short par 70 that sets up well.
