Arnold Palmer Invitational Tips

Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard - Bay Hill Club & Lodge, Orlando, FL

20 March 2014 - 23 March 2014

Tip date: 17 March 2014

The Arnold Palmer Initiation is this week’s PGA Tour stop and takes place at the regular venue of Bay Hill. This is one of the more prestigious events of the year and always has a strong field. The course is a 7400 yard par 72 which is traditionally one of the harder courses of the year. The Bermuda greens are relatively slick and the rough is going to punish errant tee shots. The long par 4 18th is a fearsome test. Tiger Wood is the defending champion this week but we’re not fancying him at 15/2.

Name Odds Bookmaker
K J Choi 1.5pt each way 80-1 PaddyPower TOP SIX Finishing position: T60

Back K J Choi Again
K.J. is definitely moving in the right direction after a poor 2013 and seems to be finding some of his trademark comsistency. He currently sits 46th in the Fedex Cup after a string of good finishes culminating in a T2 at Torrey Pines. Bay Hill sets up well for his neat and tidy game and he’s had two top 20s in his last four starts. Highlight if these is a T6 in 2011 when he was in good form. We can see him making the top five if his current good play holds for another week.
Kevin Na 2pt each way 40-1 PaddyPower TOP SIX Finishing position: T14

Back Kevin Na Again
Kevin has clearly bounced back from an injury hit 2013 and looks ready to claim his second PGA Tour title soon. He’s had a number of good finishes this season and had a very nice 2nd place at the Valspar Championship last week. We’re backing his good play to continue, especially as he’s posted T11-T2-T30-T4 in his last four visits to Bay Hill. We feel he’s a must beat each way this week.
Ryan Moore 2pt each way 40-1 PaddyPower TOP SIX Finishing position: T60

Back Ryan Moore Again
We like the look of Moore this week. He’s got the consistency to contend anywhere at he moment and four top 10s in nine starts this season speaks volumes. He’s sitting 9th in the Fedex Cup and is a proven winner. Factor in a decent Bay Hill record (T12 and T4 in the last three years) and he looks a solid each way prospect.

All quoted odds correct as of 18:00 on 17/03/2014. These are obviously subject to fluctuation.
