The climax of the Race to Dubai is here! Jeremiah Estates is again the venue and at 7675 yards is a very long desert style course. It has the usual watery finish with the island green 17th the signature hole. -20 will probably be needed to emulate Henrik Stenson’s victory last year. Long hitting is a pre-requisite and the desert specialists should offer a strong challenge.
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Alexander Levy | 2pt each way 35-1 | Stan James |
Finishing position: T26 Back Alexander Levy Again |
Alex is right at the top of his game at the moment and is an absolute birdie machine. He’s won twice already this season and should have added to those two victories. 1-13-2-14-11 is a cracking set of current form statistics. It’s course debut for him but we have no doubt that he can find enough birdies to get into contention this week. | |||
Romain Wattel | 2pt each way 45-1 | Bet365 |
Finishing position: T36 Back Romain Wattel Again |
We’re going on Wattel again this week. Truth is, we think he’s going to win soon and he’s in great form right now. He gives it a good crack off the tee and, like Levy, should be able to make enough birdies to figure on the higher reaches of the leaderboard. He’s managed top 11 finishes in seven of his last eight events. We’ve no doubt he can continue his good play this week. | |||
Rafael Cabrera-Bello | 2pt each way 175-1 | Stan James |
Finishing position: T9 Back Rafael Cabrera-Bello Again |
Rafa fits the bill this week as a long hitting desert specialist and h had some good rounds of late without really piecing it all together. We fancy him to go well this week against a restricted field and he’ll feel right at home amongst the sand dunes where some of his best performances have come. 175-1 is a cracking price for a player with his desert record. |
