The tour make’s its annual stop in the Swiss Alps this week for the Omega European Masters. The course at Crans Sur Sierre is a short 6848 yard par 70 and the ball travels 10% further at this altitude. The small, raised greens are difficult to hit and there are n number of elevation changes. Course specialist Thomas Bjorn defends.
The following Bookmakers are offering ¼ odds the tops six this week:
Name | Odds | Bookmaker | |
---|---|---|---|
Berndt Weisberger | 2pt each way 28-1 | Stan James |
Finishing position: T13 Back Berndt Weisberger Again |
Berndt is a potentially World Class player who’s starting to play well again and this week sets up nicely. He’s had a T15 and T6 last week in Italy on a course that doesn’t really set up for him. He has the length to overpower Crans and should be able to reach a couple of the par 4s. He’s had a T6 here in 2012 on his last visit to show he can handle this quirky venue. | |||
Tommy Fleetwood | 2pt each way 50-1 | BetVictor |
Returned 14.5pts for T5 place finish!
Back Tommy Fleetwood Again |
Tommy’s finding a bit of form and we think he’s got a chance this week. He’s managed T5 and T24 in the last couple of weeks and usually plays well at this time of year. We quite like the look of his T19-T9 in his two visits to Crans Sur Sierre. | |||
Bradley Dredge | 2pt each way 50-1 | Stan James |
Finishing position: T61 Back Bradley Dredge Again |
We have to have a small nibble on Dredge this week. Simply, he’s playing some great golf after a period in the wilderness through injury – T2-2 speaks for itself. At 50-1 we’re happy to gamble that his good play lasts for another week. No doubt, the in-form Welshman can pop up with another punter friendly finish. |
