The European Tour has a brand new event this week in the Made in Denmark. The host course is Himmerland Golf & Spa Resort. The Backtee Course is being used and it was only opened in 2013 so there’s no course form to go on. It’s a 7033 yard par 71 and has an open, links feel to it. There’s water on a few holes and a fair bit of room off the tee. The course looks pretty scoreable but wind would seem to be its principal defence. It’s a pretty weak field with Thomas Bjorn leading the early betting.

---|---|---|---|
Marc Warren | 2pt each way 33-1 | Ladbrokes |
Returned 86.5pts for 1 place finish!
Back Marc Warren Again |
We’re snapping up this early price on the in-form Warren. The course looks to set up well with its linksy feel and lack of real length. Hhe’s having a good season and has had a T3 and T15 in his last three starts and will be looking to capitalise on what is a pretty weak field. | |||
Michael Hoey | 2pt each way 50-1 | PaddyPower |
Finishing position: WD Back Michael Hoey Again |
The enigmatic Hoey seems to have been finding greater consistency this season. He’s had a host of good finishes this season and will relish the short nature of the course and the links style conditions. Wins at St. Andrews and Madeira are testament to that. In such a weak field Hoey will have a good chance of adding win number six to his CV. | |||
Scott Jamieson | 2pt each way 40-1 | PaddyPower |
Finishing position: T45 Back Scott Jamieson Again |
The talented Jamieson is on a roll this season. He’s coming right into form with T18-T8-MC-T3 coming into this week. He’s performed well in all types of events over the last couple of years and this one seems to set up nicely. Nobody is coming into this with more momentum and Jamieson could easily contend this week and add to his solo tour victory. |
