WGC Cadillac Championship Tips

The WGC Cadillac is staged at the usual venue of the @Blue Monster’ at Doral. It’s a 7334 yard par 72 and water is an obvious feature. The rough is thick-ish but the course is not mega severe (39th out of 49 in difficulty in 2012 but things can get tricky if the wind blows. There is a very strong field with all the big names present. Justin Rose defends and looks well positioned to be in the mix again.

Any time that Johnson is available at this price is tempting. Proven winner, good wind player and has posted his first victory this season already. A 2nd place here in 2011 is pretty much all you need to know this week. Moderate form over the last few weeks probably explains why 45-1 is available but we think he’s got a leading chance.

Bo had a super year in 2012 and looks ready to take the step to his first PGA Tour victory. A solid if unspectacular start this season doesn’t put us off. 8th last year at this venue and he’s a better player now. He had a good win in October in the Perth International so the belief that he can do it in America must be increasing.
