The Tour moves to Sweden this week and and a brand new venue in PGA Sweden National. The course is a wide open links-style set up with wide fairways, light rough and relatively small greens. There are 74 bunkers and water comes into play on four holes. Scoring should be pretty low. Mikko Illonen won last year’s event at a different venue.

---|---|---|---|
Rafael Cabrera-Bello | 2pt each way 45-1 | Stan James |
Finishing position: T9 Back Rafael Cabrera-Bello Again |
Rafa is having a super season and another win doesn’t look far away. Fact is, he can contend pretty much anywhere in Europe these days and the wide open set up here should suit perfectly. He had a strong performance at Wentworth last week and we can see his good form continuing here. | |||
Alvaro Quiros | 1pt each way 66-1 | Stan James |
Finishing position: T6 Back Alvaro Quiros Again |
Alvaro is quietly getting back to his best form after a series of injuries over the last few years. He will have shaken a lot of his ‘contention rust’ off when 3rd in China a few weeks ago (tipped by us at 50-1) and looks like he’s ready to add to his six tour titles soon. The layout in Malmo looks to suit as there are wide fairways and not too much trouble off the tee. It’s a level playing field this week and Alvaro has the ammunition to get the birdies he needs. | |||
Pablo Larrazabal | 2pt each way 50-1 | Stan James |
Finishing position: T32 Back Pablo Larrazabal Again |
Pablo is a quality player who has won a number of events over the last few years. He had a notable triumph in Abu Dhabi at the start of the year. He’s had a little quiet spell since but T7 and T8 in his last four starts shows he’s not far off. His performance at Wentworth was particularly impressive. We think the course should suit his aggressive style and are happy to back him at a good price. |
