The China Open moves to a new venue for this year’s edition. Genzon GC is a 7145 yard par 72 and has an American feel with generous fairways and a lot of water in play. There is no previous course form to go on so this looks pretty wide open. Brett Rumford won last year at a different venue. Henrik Stenson heads the early betting at a measly 15/2.

Rafael Cabrera-Bello | 2pt each way 35-1 | PaddyPower |
Finishing position: T8 Back Rafael Cabrera-Bello Again |
Rafa has had a very good season, rewarding our followers with a 100-1 place in Abu Dhabi. His good play has continued and he looks a class above most in this field. We’re happy to ignore his MC last week and focus more on the three top 5s in five starts before that. He looks well able to add to his two Tour wins and this week could be it.
Jbe Kruger | 1pt each way 100-1 | Ladbrokes |
Finishing position: T15 Back Jbe Kruger Again |
It looks like Jbe could be getting back to form after a quiet spell following his Avantha Masters win a few years ago. He’s been in decent form of last and won the Zimbabwe Open a couple of weeks ago, following it up with a good T13 in Malaysia. He looks primed for another good outing this week and we’re happy to have a small punt on him popping up near the top of the leaderboard.
Alvaro Quiros | 2pt each way 50-1 | PaddyPower |
Returned 27pts for 3 place finish!
Back Alvaro Quiros Again |
We’re happy to have a go at Alvaro this week. His best work has usually come away from mainland Europe and the course looks to set up well for him this week. He should be able to reach the par 5s and there looks to be a bit of room from the tee for him. He had a decent T13 last time out and will be keen to do well this week against a fairly light field. |
