This is just the second ever staging of the Tshwane Open in South Africa. The course is a monster par 72 of 7791 yards. Interestingly the par 5s measure 685, 607, 658 and 597 yards. The fairways are pretty wide and this clearly sets up best for the longer hitters. Dawie Van Der Walt is the defending champion and has been in decent form of late. The local players are always a strong presence in these events – the top three were all South Africans. George Coetzee leads the betting.

Hennie is our first tip for the Tshwane Open and he must have a leading chance in a pretty weak field. The fiery South African is in decent form and had a T9 last time out on the Sunshine Tour. He was T10 here last year and could well be a factor come Sunday.

Yes, it’s an obvious choice but we’re going for the defending champ this week. Two reasons – he’s in good current form and obviously likes the course. He’s grown in stature over the last couple of seasons and is becoming quite a prolific winner. Dawie is clearly worthy of consideration in any South African event and we’re having a punt this week in the expectation of a stout defence!
Tommy Fleetwood	2pt each way 50-1	SkyBet	Finishing position: MC Back Tommy Fleetwood Again
Tommy is a class above most in this field and we’re happy to have a go at this price. He’s not played a lot this season but had a couple of good finishes in the Middle East. He’s here this week because he thinks he can contend. It’s his debut in this event but neither the course nor the field will have hin worried and a high finish is a distinct possibility.
